Nori-wrapped tofu in a spicy Szechuan style sauce 🥡🍙🌶 coming at uuuu with a new recipe that’s not your typical tofu stir fry as the tofu is wrapped and cooked in seaweed strips !! And boy is it goooood

🍙 nori wrapped tofu recipe 🍙 serves 1 courtesy of @thefoodietakesflight
• 1/2 block firm tofu (I used @tofooco ofc), cut into rectangles • 1 nori sheet • 1 pepper, chopped •

For the sauce: mix together 75ml water • 1tbsp soy • 1tsp sugar • 1/2 tbsp chilli garlic sauce (I use @lkkeurope but you can also make ur own) • 1/2 tsp sriracha • 1/2tso sesame seeds • 1tsp rice vinegar • 1 garlic clove, crushed • cornstarch slurry (1/2tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water)

– press the tofu then cut into rectangles and sprinkle with salt
– cut the nori sheets into 1cm strips then wrap each piece around each bit of tofu (wet then slightly so they stick more)
– heat a pan with some oil on a medium/ high heat then add the tofu and cook till golden, remove and set aside
– clean the oil out the pan then add in your sauce (not the cornstarch slurry) and bring time a boil over a medium heat then add in the cornstarch slurry
– leave to simmer over a medium heat until it thickens then add in the tofu and chopped pepper and cook for 2-3 more mins
– season with more soy or salt and Serve it over rice or noodles 🥢
