WAGAMAMA TOFU KATSU CURRY 🍛🍢🍚🥡 this was the ONE dish I thought I wouldn’t be able to recreate at home but ommmg I did it 🤩 I have literally been wanting to make this for MONTHS and it absolutely did not disappoint 10/10 tasted exactly like the real deal 😎 I even made the wagas SALAD TOO 🌱 @wagamama_uk sign me pls x
🥡 tofu katsu curry recipe 🥡 serves 1
• 1/2 block of tofu, sliced into rectangles • 15g flour • 30ml water • 25g panko breadcrumbs • salt • pepper • rice •
FOR THE KATSU SAUCE: • 1/4 small banana (15g) • 1/4 carrot, thinly sliced • 150ml veg stock • 1/4red onion, finely chopped • 1/4tsp garam masala • 1/4tsp curry powder • 1 tsp tomato purée • 2tsp soy sauce •
– mix the flour and water together in a bowl, dip the tofu in and then dip in the breadcrumbs with salt and pepper
– shallow fry or drizzle over some oil and bake in the oven at 180 for 25 mins till golden
– meanwhile, soften the garlic, onion, carrot and banana in some oil in a pan, then add in the spices, soy sauce, veg stock, tomato purée, 50ml milk and simmer for 10 mins till thick then transfer to a blender and blitz
– assemble the tofu and pour the sauce over top 😍
